Wednesday night on my break at work I fell in love with this little guy! He's an Australian Labradoodle, and is such a little lover. The breeder was pulling him and another pup around in a little red wagon, and I was instantly in love! CAhusband is not such a fan of this fluffy breed, but I swear if he met him he would have been in love too. Unfortunately this dog is about as unfriendly to our bank accounts as a dog could be, so we're temporarily out of luck. : ( I still keep thinking about this sweet little guy though.

Thursday morning we participated in a 5K walk/run (we walked, duh) for the local soup kitchen. There were about 1000 people who walked and we had perfect weather. It got to 80 degrees on Thanksgiving which was a change for us, and it was a wonderful day. After the walk CAhusband and I headed home to watch the parade and make my SIL's famous fondue to take to my parents. We then had a fabulous feast prepared by my mom and dad, and after dessert headed to some friends for cocktails to round out the night.

Friday and Saturday I was in retail HELL, enough said.
Sunday CAhusband and I had a fabulous day! After doing a serious deep clean on our apartment we went to lunch at Bouche Fine Food and then bought our first Christmas tree!! Although the sentiment in a real tree is nice, we just aren't real tree people (sorry) and found a great deal on our 7.5 ft pre-lit tree! Once we got home we set up the tree (CAhusband set it up, and I did the fluffing, which apparently is the "girl's job"), made Christmas sugar cookies, and watched UP. It was a fabulous day!
Fluffing the tree!
Today I ate about 7 sugar cookies and set out to complete our barren tree. I went to my parents and picked out my favorite ornaments to add to our tree, then had a great afternoon running errands with my mom. Our tree is now complete with matching glass balls, candy canes, a tree skirt (which I'm taking to get monogrammed tomorrow), a few new ornaments, and several nostalgic ornaments from my childhood.
Our almost finished tree
(Now that I see this picture, I'm realizing it's a little crooked)
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
