-The rain finally stopped on Friday night, and I think we totaled somewhere around 5 inches of rain. This is way more than we usually get in a year, and was horrible timing for my in-laws visit, but what can you do?
-The Boilermakers pulled off a victory on Saturday, thank goodness! We were fearing our Boilers were overrated, but are now hopeful that they're making a comeback.
-We went to a great new restaurant/bar on Friday night, that I'm hoping to get back to again soon. They had an amazing pear rosemary martini that I'm now addicted to (not in the alcoholic way of course), and some great goat cheese appetizers that were right up my alley.
-We ate (and drank) way too much with CAhusband's parents here over the past 5 days, so this girl needs to get her butt to the gym soon! A friend of mine recently struck an awesome deal at a gym, so I'm hoping to get the same deal and get back to spinning at least 4 days a week very soon (hopefully by posting this I'll hold myself accountable).
-Sunday we made a quick stop at the Farmer's Market, and then headed to my parents house to watch the Colts game. We were VERY nervous about the Colts making a reappearance in the Super Bowl after the first half, but Manning pulled through and is taking the Colts to another Super Bowl in Miami in just 2 weeks. WOOHOO!
-Whoa, did my birthday sneak up on me.... just 4 days away! We have no plans to speak of, and CAhusband fears he will be working all weekend, so I'm trying not to get to worked up about it being a big affair. 24 is nothing too special, and we've had plenty of wonderful celebrations over the last year, so I'm just hoping we can enjoy a good dinner and maybe a movie?
-I'm heading into J.Crew for a few hours this evening, and we got a $h*t-ton of super cute new spring clothes in today. This is major bad-news-bears for this semi-employed girl, but oh well, I can't wait to try a bunch of cute new stuff on! Once it all hits the web here in a few days I'll definitely be posting pictures. : )
-With all of the chaos due to rain and house guests over the last week I neglected to dedicate a birthday post to my friend Randi! Randi, if you're reading this I hope you had a wonderful birthday, and I'm so sorry that my scattered brain missed your special day! I'm sure you had a wonderful weekend full of celebrations in Denver, and I miss you dearly!
Regularly scheduled (non-random) posts will continue tomorrow!
