Follow interior designer Sarah Richardson through the entire process of purchasing a house and renovating it room by room. She starts by buying the worst house in a good neighborhood — a true fixer-upper that oozes with potential. Learn what to look for and what to avoid when house hunting with a renovation in mind. Get inside Sarah's creative mind as she decides what stays and what goes. See her do it all — budgeting, conceptualizing, managing dusty, disastrous renovations — while creating stylish touches that are her trademark. Let Sarah's House empower you with the knowledge you need to tackle your own whole-house redesign. It's nail-biting drama, practical know-how and jaw-dropping, inspiring ideas all rolled into one exciting show!
Now, I don't know about "nail-biting drama," but I love this show. She finds great auctions pieces, spends her money on the more worthy rooms, and gets more crafty in less used rooms like the guest room. In my fantasy world I've always wanted to find a diamond in the rough in a great neighborhood and completely re-do it to fit our family perfectly. I also love the idea of completing one room at a time completely to avoid all of the confusion, and it makes for a great show. I guess you could say I'm living vicariously through this show, because CAhusband and I agreed after our feuds over furniture that we could never handle building a house, or even renovating for that matter.
**There are way better rooms than this, this is just the only one I could get to save.
Sarah's House airs on HGTV on Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m.
Note: After searching online, I realized this show is actually from HGTV Canada, and this is the second home/season she's re-done, and that there's actually another show Sarah's Cottage where she does the same thing with like a lake house/cottage. Too cute!

Hey! Just saw your comment and was amazed how much we had in common. First and foremost... go boilers! Your husband and you are just too cute together. I was a DZ, and Andrew was a Sig Ep. We both miss Purdue like crazy and I have to say.... I am very jealous that you were able to get out of the state of Indiana and live in the wonderful state of California!
P.S. Your dog is just too cute. My "SIL" just got a boxer and we love her so much that we are thinking of getting one for Carson to have as a brother as soon as we get our new house.
cute blog! :)
Oh and I forgot to mention... HGTV is my husband's and mine obsession.
