DVR Overload: Fall TV

Some notes on Fall TV:

-This week is sort of like Christmas for a TV addict.  I am beyond excited, I have my list of shows all typed in a word document to avoid confusion, and my DVR has been set for weeks... yes, I'm CAwife and I'm an addict, a TV addict.

-I must really be hurting for blogging material because this post makes me look so bad!  Sadly the fact that I watch 20+ hours of TV a week is not something I want to change, I love TV and it's the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day.

-Thank God for DVR because I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.  Sadly, my DVR works overtime many nights, and I'm only able to squeeze in all of the shows that I do because many of them are OnDemand and don't need to be recorded.

-Keep in mind this schedule doesn't count my BRAVO shows.  I'm leaving them off because it would only make this schedule look worse, and they're on at 6 and 7 p.m. here, so they don't interfere with the other primetime shows.

Here's what I plan to watch:

Sunday:
Desperate Housewives (ABC)
Brothers and Sisters (ABC)
Dexter (Showtime)

Monday:
Weeds (Showtime)
The Big C (Showtime)
90210 (CW)
Gossip Girl (CW)
House (FOX)
Lonestar (FOX): new show, going to give it a try!
Castle (ABC)

Tuesday:
The Good Wife (CBS)
GLEE (FOX)
Parenthood (NBC)

Wednesday:
Modern Family (ABC)

Thursday:
My Generation (ABC) new show, going to give it a try!
Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
Private Practice (ABC)
The Big Bang Theory (CBS)
30 Rock (NBC)
The Office (NBC)
Outsourced (NBC) new show, going to give it a try!

If you haven't made your schedule yet, shame on you... here's a link to help you out: TV Guide's Premiere Guide
So, now that you've all judged me, tell me:
How much did I just embarrass myself? What are you watching this fall?

omg, GIRL, where do you find the time?!!!!!! I am totally cracking up! At least you have some decent "non reality" shows on your list. My DVR is mostly crap tv that I am too embarrassed to watch in front of my husband :) ha!

haha yay, another TV junkie!

We went without cable for 8 months {tried to save $$$ after relocating in January} and finally caved in and signed up for cable on Friday.

We already have the following ready to record in our DVR:

Desperate Housewives
House
GLEE
Grey's Anatomy
Modern Family
America's Next Top Model
The Office
Jershey Shore {oh the shame!}
Jerseylicious {ditto}

Also:

Sex & the City re-runs
Chick flicks I don't already own {like Sweet Home Alabama ~ good to have playing in the background while I'm cleaning the house}
House re-runs

And I would probably be recording every episode of Friends and the OC {it plays on the Soap Network now!} if I didn't own the seasons.

So there is my confession! I do not judge you even a teeny bit because I looove watching TV and movies and commend you for your cornucopia of shows! lol

Also, did you watch LOST? I miss it already and am still ticked about how it ended! What the crap was with the polar bears??

I am right there with you! I watch way more tv than I should too- but its just soooo good! I just checked our DVR and we are already so behind on it (I have about 70 things already recorded on there that I need to watch, yikes!) Im thinking that maybe this weekend I will curl up on the couch and have a TV marathon :)

Oh and you and I watch a lot of the same shows! :)

Okay so for some reason the last few years I just haven't been able to get into any TV series. But this Fall I'm going to give a couple a try...

I wanted to watch Lone Star but I've been getting turned off by it so we are going to watch "The Event" instead.

We might try watching, "Raising Hope"

"The Chase"

"Detroit 1-8-7"

We'll give "No Ordinary Family" a try

and of course "Hell's Kitchen"

I hate stupid, crude comedies so I guess I don't have much of a selection? But I hope some of these turn out good and I can actually stay interested :)

Hahaha. I'm laughing because we have a color-coded tv chart showing what shows I'm watching, what hubs is watching and what we're watching together. Our poor DVR works overtime! We watch a ton of tv, too. We love it.

I'm watching most of what's on your list, with a few exceptions. A few others I'm watching or going to check out: Mike & Molly, How I Met Your Mother, Community, Parks & Recreation and Amazing Race.

I think I'm most excited about Big Bang Theory, Modern Family and Dexter!

Do you watch ALL those shows! WOW! That is awsome! :) Have you heard about Outlaw? Its a new abc show. My dads working on it, I've recorded it but have yet to watch it. The first episode just aired!

Parenthood is an amazing show - I love every second of it so I make sure I watch that - then I watch Modern Family, The Office and Greys - but Parenthood is my number one so for those of you who haven't seen it - it's Tues night at 10 and it's truly an incredible show! :)

Ha! I'm planning on posting my fall TV lineup today too. I have to admit I sort of forgot about the premiers this week until I was at the gym last night and started freaking out about how the DVR was set while I was watching the TV on the treadmill. Enjoy!

I'm so with you on this being the most exciting week of the year (besides Christmas). I love seeing your list of shows. I'm going to record some of the new ones you mentioned! Right now I'm hooked on 90210 and Gossip Girl. But I'd like to add a few new shows to my list. This is so not embarrassing at all. I love reading it!
