CAhusband and I hardly ever go to the movies, and this is one thing that I truly hate about us. CAhusband is not a fan of the movie theater in general, and it just never seems to fit into our schedule. I could honestly go to dinner and movie once a week, it just never actually happens.
Typically, the summer is full of huge blockbuster action films, but this summer none of those are appealing to me. There are lots of movies I would love to see between now and the start of school though.
Cars 2
in theaters now
I'm a sucker for Disney Pixar films, and absolutely adored the first Cars. I've heard great things about the second film, and am really hoping we'll get to see if while it's still in theaters.
Midnight in Paris
in theaters now
I was a little unsure of this film at first, but once I heard all of the fantastic reviews I decided it was a must see. I love Woody Allen films, and look forward to seeing Owen Wilson in a different role.
Larry Crowne
in theaters now
Although this film has gotten iffy reviews, I adore Julia Roberts and make it a mission to see all of her films. The storyline seems very sweet, and I'm always a sucker for a romance.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2
opening July 15th
I'm going to start watching all of the Harry Potter films in order this weekend, and hope to see the final HP sometime soon. I've heard excellent things about the final installment in the series and will be so sad that the story is officially over.
Crazy, Stupid, Love
opening July 29th
I'm in love with the cast in this film, and think the story sounds great. I might actually get CAhusband to see this one with me too, which makes it even more appealing.
The Help
opening August 10th
I am more excited about this film than any others this summer. I love the casting, and have heard great things about early screenings. I can't wait to see one of my all-time favorite books come to life on the screen.
Have you seen any of the already released films on my list? What did you think?
What flicks are you dying to see this summer?

agree...I could definitely do dinner and a movie as our weekly date night every time. the husband, not so much. :(
We try to do a movie at least once a month. Last month, we saw Midnight in Paris, which is very cute and makes me want to live in Paris and wear cute clothes. We are seeing Horrible Bosses this weekend - the hubs got to pick. :)
CAN'T WAIT to see The Help! Loved the book.
Great movie picks! I am dying to see Midnight in Paris and Crazy, Stupid, Love. I also can barely wait until August 10th to see The Help. I feel like I have been waiting for it's release forever!
I'm beyond excited for Crazy Stupid Love and Harry Potter. I absolutely loved The Help (book) but I'm not happy with casting so I'm skeptical on the movie. I love Emma Stone but for me, she is just terrible casting as Skeeter. Skeeter was supposed to be a tall, lanky, awkward blonde with curly hair. I'm also surprised by the upbeat tone of the previews I've seen. I may or may not get to see it in the theater since I'm due the day after it comes out but I'm sure I'll watch it on video if I miss it in the theater.
I have heard good reviews on Horrible Bosses so maybe we'll go see that one too.
I liked Midnight in Paris. I CANNOT WAIT to see The Help. The previews have me so excited!
I LOVE the movies! But we also, rarely go to the theater. But we do have movie nights at home every weekend.
I actually don't have any of those movies on my list.. and I can't even remember which others one are coming out. LOL!
